This is the old homepage of the first free open source JavaServer(tm) Faces implementation called "MyFaces".

Please note: We are currently moving this site to our new location at Apache, but since not all content is moved yet, this site remains online in the meantime.

What is JavaServer(tm) Faces?

JavaServer(tm) Faces is a new and upcoming web application framework that accomplishes the MVC paradigm. It is comparable to the well-known Struts Framework but has features and concepts that are beyond those of Struts.
Look at Sun's JavaServer(tm) Page to learn more about the Java Specification Request 127 and to download the specification. They also provide a useful Tutorial there.

We are currently

• moving our project infrastructure from Apache Incubator to our new Apache toplevel home.
• working hard on making MyFaces stable and prepare it for the TCK.

  Early Access Release 0.9.1 (Final Specification)

  Major Release 0.9 (Proposed Final Draft Specification)
• July 2003
  Major Release 0.4 (Early Access 4 Specification)
• March 2003
  Major Release 0.3 (Early Access 3 Specification)
• January 2003
  The first release (0.1) was published. It conformed to the Early Access 2 Specification.
• December 2002
